How the tool works today
GPSRCheck does not require an account. The triage calculation is performed client-side in JavaScript in your browser. The tool does not submit your questionnaire answers to an application server as part of its normal operation.
What data you enter
You may enter product and supply-chain readiness information such as whether manufacturer details, importer details, Responsible Person details, warnings, traceability records, and listing details are available.
Please avoid entering unnecessary personal data or unrelated confidential material. Use only the minimum information needed to perform a practical readiness triage.
Local browser storage
To make the experience less frustrating if you refresh the page or navigate away, the tool stores the last answer set and result summary in your own browser using local storage on that device. This is not shared automatically with the operator through the app logic.
If you want to clear that locally stored information, you can rerun the tool with new answers, clear site data in your browser, or use private/incognito browsing.
Server-side storage
The application logic in this release does not intentionally send your answers to a server or store them in a backend database. Standard website hosting logs may still exist at the hosting or CDN layer for operational and security purposes, such as IP address, request path, browser type, and access time.
Analytics
No custom analytics tied to form-answer content are implemented in the public tool code shipped in this release.
What the tool does not do
- It does not verify your answers against external databases or authorities
- It does not create a compliance certificate or legal opinion
- It does not guarantee deletion of data that you independently copy elsewhere
- It does not eliminate the need to use judgment about what information you choose to enter
Practical user guidance
- Enter only the information needed for a baseline GPSR triage
- Avoid pasting unnecessary personal data, contracts, or large confidential documents
- If you are working with sensitive supplier or legal material, consider using a clean browser session and clearing site data afterward
- Read the tool output as practical guidance, not as compliance certification
